About Me

The final step of an IT project is implementation. The IT manager should receive written sign-off from the management of the user team that the project has been completed to satisfaction. Both teams should then coordinate a date of implementation. This may include a period of parallel systems. The project manager should also coordinate any other personnel that need to be involved. Management should ensure that proper notification is given to any internal or external users that may be affected by the project's implementation. The manager should also work with the database administrator to ensure that implementation goes smoothly and that the programs are properly documented in any database tracking logs. Implementation also assumes that any issues with security, equipment, new software, and memory have been addressed during development and testing. In the example of the accounting reporting system, there has been a great deal of documentation and testing.
